ABOUT THE LIGHTS

The Lights is a vibrant, walkable area that promotes entertainment and employment in West Fargo, ND. The Lights is a public-private partnership between EPIC Companies and the City of West Fargo. The Lights Entertainment District embodies employees from both the City of West Fargo and EPIC Companies working together, for four years, to complete the vision. The goal was to create a partnership that would generate activity by public amenities that everyone could enjoy as well as a large tax base that would assist with funding the city, school, park, and county through property tax. All infrastructure, roads, and public amenities of The Lights are supported by a TIF district guaranteed by the developers of the project.

LIVE ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT

The Lights Entertainment District features a public parking ramp, community plaza, and multi-use buildings on premise. The buildings include ECHO, EPIC, ENVY, EDGE and The Northern Lights. This area was officially defined as an entertainment district in February 2020 by the City of West Fargo planning department. This title enables the area to include additional amenities as well as community events that support retail, office, recreation, entertainment, and living for the state of North Dakota, the first of its kind.

City owned public parking ramp with 400+ stalls. Free to use.

Concerts at The Lights

What can I bring in to a concert?

Prohibited items include but are not limited to purses or bags larger than 5 in x 7 in, outside food and beverage, pets, umbrellas, chairs, flash photography, and firearms of any kind.

Is smoking allowed?

The Lights is a smoke free facility.

If I leave, can I re-enter?

Concerts at The Lights do not allow for re-entry. If you leave the venue, you will need a new ticket to get back in.

Where should I park?

Free parking is available in the parking garage accessible from 5th St W, and the West Fargo Sports Arena parking lot can be used as overflow parking.

What happens if it rains during the concert?

Concerts are held rain or shine. If you are expecting rain, you are free to wear a poncho or rain jacket. Umbrellas are not allowed.

Where can I buy Tickets?

If there are tickets still available for purchase, tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster.com is the official and sole ticket distributor of EPIC Events promoted concerts on MIDCO Stage at Essentia Health Plaza at The Lights. Any tickets purchased outside of Ticketmaster.com run the risk of being fraud/scam or non sufficient as event entry. Links to each event can be found on their respective event page. Tickets can also be purchased at the entrance to the venue during shows, if the show hasn't sold out.

How can I buy presale tickets?

Presale tickets can be purchased with the code sent out in the EPIC Events newsletter, or by signing up for the EPIC Events text club

THE ESSENTIA HEALTH PLAZA

COST OF EVENTS?

Many events at Essentia Health Plaza are FREE to the community. Some events may be ticketed.

HOW DO I BUY A TICKET FOR AN EVENT?

Ticket information is found under the event details at EPICEventsND.com.

ARE FOOD AND DRINKS ALLOWED ON THE PLAZA?

During a typical day, food and non-alcoholic beverages can be enjoyed on the plaza. Alcohol is sold during special events only. Absolutely NO GLASS on the plaza.

WHAT IS THE ICE RINK SCHEDULE?

During winter months the plaza is turned into a NHL regulation size rink. Fun events such as Open Skate, Open Hockey, Watch N' Skates, and more are held. Skates can be rented for only $5. The community room is located in the Southeast corner of the plaza. To view the rink schedule, visit WestFargoEvents.com.

HOW DO I TURN ON THE SPLASH PAD?

There is a circular pad that needs to be touched by hand or foot.

How can I tell if the plaza is open?

CAN I ORDER FOOD TO THE PLAZA?

Yes! Make sure to explain to your delivery driver where to find you.

CAN I RENT OUT THE PLAZA?

Yes! The plaza can be rented for a private event year-round. More info can be found on the rentals page.

IS THERE WIFI?

Use our WiFi "Lights".

CAN I LISTEN TO THE TV IN THE PLAZA?

You can listen to "Slim TV" with your own headphones by downloading the AudioFetch app in your app store.

CAN MY CHILDREN HANG OUT AT THE PLAZA?

Yes, however we ask that attendees use the plaza area and that buildings are used for patrons only. All children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian on the plaza. Under the age of 18 everyone must be accompanied by an adult at all times when in the buildings. Cameras are on-site to monitor activity along the plaza and building hallways.

IS SMOKING ALLOWED ON THE PLAZA?

No, smoking is never allowed on the plaza or near the buildings.

ARE DOGS ALLOWED ON THE PLAZA?

Dogs are allowed on a typical day or during a free community event however they are not allowed during any ticketed events. They are not allowed in the winter when ice is out.

ARE BACKPACKS, CHAIRS, WATER BOTTLES ALLOWED?

These are allowed during a typical day, but not during ticketed events. Concessions will be available along with benches around the plaza. During concerts - Small, wallet, clutch size bags are allowed. Does not need to be clear. Will be checked at the gate upon entering.

NAVIGATION

WHERE DO I PARK?

There is free parking in the City of West Fargo's parking ramp. To get to the plaza, use the stairway or elevator to access the first floor. Overflow parking will be in the West Fargo Sports Arena.

HOW DO I GET TO A BUSINESS?

First floor businesses can be accessed at their store front. Second floor businesses can be accessed by parking in the ramp and utilizing the skyway. There is signage throughout the building to help you navigate.

WHERE ARE THE BATHROOMS?

Public bathrooms are located in the community room in the South East corner of the plaza. During ticketed events extra bathrooms are brought in.

CAN I LIVE HERE?
